Each decorative lure is individually handcarved from a block of basswood to represent the various species of fish.  These lures are not mass produced.  In fact, only 30 lures are made in each series and then retired.  Because each lure is handcarved, one at a time, no two lures will be exactly alike.  With a few exceptions, the lures  have glass eyes and nickel plated hardware and each is signed and numbered.  Lures have two coats of primer, 10 to 12 coats of tranparent paint, and a thick epoxy outer coating for lifelong protection.  Scales are either woodburned or rolled.  Although, you may not want to fish with these, they are weighted for proper buoyancy.  Please visit the Contact Us page for information on shipping rates.

Each lure comes with an attractive box and numbered end label.  With a few exceptions, lures are named after my favorite creeks, rivers and lakes in West Virginia.
